Darren Liversidge accepted the invitiation to be club captain for the year from outgoing captain Adam Painter and David Brackenbury became the seniors’ captain following on from Ron Turner.

In their second match the team lost 6-3 (away) to Benton Hall.

On 26th June, former club captains Phil Redhead, David White and Kev Whybrew teed off at 4.32 am to play 100 holes of golf in one day over the Notleys course. The aim (apart from getting very sore feet) was to raise money for the Farleigh hospice, the just giving page shows almost £1600 raised but there may be more not included there – well done gents.

The 2012 Captains’ drive ins took place on a cold damp 25th March.
However the weather did not natch the spirits of the members who turned out in force to support the event and to enjoy the party atmosphere in the clubhouse afterwards.
The outgoing captain Nigel Nollis and Seniors Captain Ray Johannsen started proceedings with a ceremonial putt out on the 18th green wtached by many members:
